This is my very first Arcade Home Port Review! This time, it's Q*Bert on the NES from Ultra Games, AKA Konami. This port of Q*Bert isn't that good. The controls take getting used to, their very stiff. The game's also missing the speech and it makes it hard to tell when enemies are coming at you. I also forgot to mention another Q*Bert game. Mello Yello Q*Bert, just like Faster Harder More Challenging Q*Bert, the game was never released in arcades but the ROM of the game was released so you can play it on MAME.
Check back in on Friday for another video!
FunSpot XI

Better late then never, right? Well here's our video of some of the highlights of this year's FunSpot tournament. We'll have some game reviews and all of the interviews in full in the coming weeks. We did one with Gary from FunSpot and it ran over 20 minutes, so were going to do it in two parts. One with the interview as you see above and another video on how you, can help them out at the Classic Arcade Museum. Big thanks to everybody that we met there and sat down with us.
I'll post my Arcade Home Port Review test video here soon, so you guys and gals can see how it turned out. I need to find a good song to have over random bits of gameplay footage I filmed for a true intro, rather then something cheaply spit out from Movie Maker.

Hey everybody! Nick here, 2600 was able to finish the PAPA 12 video for us this week and it came out amazing. This isn't the only video we'll have for you at PAPA, no sir. We took over an hour's worth of video there, so keep checking back here and at Arcade-Hunters for when we'll have more videos!

Hey everybody! Nick here reporting from PAPA 12 in Pittsburgh! Having a great time and we've met a ton of cool people. Here's the video walk through I did a few hours ago. I'm going to be doing another one tomorrow when it's brighter in here.
We've also started a new blog/news site for Arcade Hunters. We'll also be covering any arcade/pinball news, arcade game and pinball reviews and I'll also be reviewing arcade home ports too in the future. So check out the site, subscribe to the RSS Feed and sign up for the Twitter page. We'll also be getting a Facebook page soon, so stay tuned for that.

New Week, New Update
Nick - writer - posted on Friday, 07/31/09 21:14:56 EDT
Hey everybody, Nick back again for the weekly update. First, sorry about the Air Raid picture. The preview picture just said "Here's three shots from my digital camera" and I tried to upload a picture to use as a thumbnail and for some reason it uploaded it to full size.
Once again, nothing much to report. Next weekend I'll be taking a trip up to New Hampshire with 2600 and we're going to work on some stuff to finish up some of the videos we lost during his hard drive crash.
PAPA 12 is in another 13 days and all of us are getting ready to hit the place up and get a ton of videos. Now that 2600 will be joining us, he'll have his camera with him and we're going to re-shoot all of the videos I took last year and a lot more, this time in glorious HD. I'll also be taking my digital camera and if The Cap'n takes his laptop, I'll be uploading pictures and videos throughout the tournament.
Speaking of videos, I'm really looking forward to Blip's new announcement. Being able to upload the video once and having it go on Youtube and Veoh (Or is it Veimo?) then getting the add revenue on top of that? Awesome. Now we don't need to beg Youtube to become a partner anymore, so now everybody can make the videos they want and get some credit for it. So now we'll just be doing the video on Blip and having them go to the Youtube page.
Well, that's it for this week, I had a lot more, but the uploader failed on me, so I'm just doing a shorter version then I had before.
