Updated Wednesday & Friday Evenings

Dom DeLuise 1933 –2009

When I asked 2600 about what news we should put up this week, he told me he wanted to put a mention to the late Dom DeLuise. He said, "I know it's a bit obscure, but I have been playing the arcade game "Stocker" a lot lately and the game reminds me so much of Cannonball Run between the cross country racing and the ridiculously jovial music (I can just picture Dom DeLuise bouncing around in the back seat while playing Stocker).

I'll always remember him as the voice of Pizza The Hutt in Spaceballs, Candid Camera and the director in the one scene of Blazing Saddles. "Watch. Me. *******!!"

Pixel Pill number 2 is out and ready for your listening enjoyment. This time we talk about one of our favorite 3rd party game developers from the NES days, Sunsoft. They made great games like Blaster Master, Batman and Gremlins 2 but once they made it to the 16-Bit era they pretty much died out. They did have a few great games in the 90's with Neo-Geo's Waku Waku 7, being one of them, but now it looks like all they do is cell phone games in Japan now. Come on guys! You saw how good Mega Man 9 did! How about another 2-D Blaster Master!

C.I and I might be heading off to Castle Video tomorrow and if we do, I'll be taking my camera for a video of Stern's 24 pinball machine. It's sad to know their new NBA themed game is nothing more then their old game based on the Space Jam movie with a spinner in the middle. So much for a "new" pinball machine. But I guess I should be glad their still in business with how everything's been going.

Well, that's it for tonight. I'm going to play more Fallout 3. I made a new character to prepare for Broken Steel and it sucks that the patch is well....broken.

Tokyo Game Action Auction June 6th

Nick - writer - posted on Saturday, 04/25/09 2:55:30 EDT

Here's our video to help advertise Tokyo Game Action's auction on June 6th. As I said in the video all of the machines will be worked on before their sold at the auction, so you won't get any surprises if you win one. I've heard nothing but good thing about Super Auctions and I'm glad their going to be doing the TGA Auction.

Thanks to everybody that has gotten the word out so far. On Youtube the video's had almost 200 hits in less then a day, but we're using the Blip version here because it embeds better, but no matter which video you send, do it. Everything helps.

If your watching the video on here for the first time, go to the pictures link on the left and you'll see the two albums in my Photo Bucket one is "SF IV at TGA" and the other is "Tokyo Game Action 7-08" if you'd like to see the pictures of the place.

I'm going to be sending out the videos to a couple of other sites to help get the word out, but if you know of anybody else that would want to post this, please go ahead and do so, so we can get the word out.

I just spoke to Brian tonight and he said that Pixel Pill 2 should be finished next week, so stay tuned here for that. I'll also be uploading some more videos onto our Blip page so we can share them here in the future.

Remember, you watched it! You can't UN-watch it!!

This was supposed to go up last night, but both of us have been sick so here it is. We've had that video waiting for a LONG time so it's finally nice to see it done and hopefully you guys will enjoy it.

Just to let everybody know that we recorded the second episode of Pixel Pill and it should be ready for you in the near future. The biggest news on the Pixel Pill front is that we will be moving the show to bi-weekly rather then a weekly show. The reason why is that all three of us are really busy and it takes a lot of time for the editing to get done, but we will continue to make the shows and we hope you'll continue listening to them. Please let us know what you think by checking out our message boards and signing up.

Tomorrow night we'll have our video to help promote Tokyo Game Action's auction in June, so we'll see you back here tomorrow!

First Episode of Pixel Pill!!!

2600 - writer/artist - posted on Saturday, 04/18/09 20:29:18 EDT

We got a link for the first episode of Pixel Pill where we talk about the game developer Cave. Cave has always made some of my favorite shumps of all time (Espgaluda, Guwange). I love bullet hell style games and the "MAN MOMENT" one feels after navigating through some ridiculous bullet patterns. We just finished recording the second episode on the game developer Sunsoft. We actually found out some pretty interesting information as we scratched at the surface of Sunsoft to see what lurks beneath. We WILL have a few video's going up next week, 1 is for the Tokyo Game Action auction to help get the word out about it, and the other is a "special" appearance of Nick on trial in Mr. Hawkins gaming court from I-Con. I will also be putting together the next Arcade Hunters episode as well and will hopefully have it all together within the next few weeks.

Everyone who is into Japanese arcade game,s be sure to check out theTokyo Game Action auction on June 6th in Winchendon Mass. We will have a video for the auction done next week, but you can still get off your butt's and go check out: Arcade Hunters Episode 2: Tokyo Game Action Part 1 to get an idea of the stuff that will be at the auction.

We'll see ya Wednesday with an all new feature entitled "Wednesday News" where we will list/recap on any important gaming news/releases that we feel are worth mentioning that some other sites seem to "overlook."

Pixel Pill 1 is coming soon!

Hey everybody. Just letting you know we recorded the first episode of our Podcast last Friday and it's just in the editing process and once it's finished, we'll have it up and ready for your listening pleasure. Brian's been really busy, so it's taking longer.

This week we'll be talking about Sunsoft. What happened, what were our favorite games and don't forget the awesome music too! We'll have that for our topic, so if you were a fan of NES classics like Blaster Master and Batman be sure to check it out.

I'm also going to try to start updating on Friday's again. Now that I know I can put videos into the main site, I'm going to try to upload one of my old videos a week onto Blip and have them up here so you can check them out. They were shot with my old digital camera, so the quality won't be very good, but it's better then nothing.

As I have said before, all of the videos that 2600 took with his camera are gone due to his computer crash. All of the videos are still on tape, but he'll need to re-edit them before anything goes up. That's why you haven't seen any new episodes of Arcade Hunters, even the title needs to be redone. During the summer when 2600 has time off, he'll be finishing up some of the videos he has now as well as going out and making new ones. We still have a lot of places to visit and I can't wait to check them all out.

So be sure to check in on Friday for a classic video and hopefully Pixel Pill 1.
