Updated Wednesday & Friday Evenings

Pixel Pill 1 is coming soon!

Hey everybody. Just letting you know we recorded the first episode of our Podcast last Friday and it's just in the editing process and once it's finished, we'll have it up and ready for your listening pleasure. Brian's been really busy, so it's taking longer.

This week we'll be talking about Sunsoft. What happened, what were our favorite games and don't forget the awesome music too! We'll have that for our topic, so if you were a fan of NES classics like Blaster Master and Batman be sure to check it out.

I'm also going to try to start updating on Friday's again. Now that I know I can put videos into the main site, I'm going to try to upload one of my old videos a week onto Blip and have them up here so you can check them out. They were shot with my old digital camera, so the quality won't be very good, but it's better then nothing.

As I have said before, all of the videos that 2600 took with his camera are gone due to his computer crash. All of the videos are still on tape, but he'll need to re-edit them before anything goes up. That's why you haven't seen any new episodes of Arcade Hunters, even the title needs to be redone. During the summer when 2600 has time off, he'll be finishing up some of the videos he has now as well as going out and making new ones. We still have a lot of places to visit and I can't wait to check them all out.

So be sure to check in on Friday for a classic video and hopefully Pixel Pill 1.

Live, from New Astro City, It's Pixel Pill!

From the creators of Press Start and Substance TV comes your weekly dose of gaming goodness that you won’t get anywhere else, it’s Pixel Pill!

That’s right, 2600 and I have teamed up with Brian from Substance TV to create a new pod cast about all things gaming that not many people talk about. We had some much fun BS’ing over Live that we decided that we should just record the damn thing and maybe people will listen to it.

We’ll be recording the first show tomorrow night and we’ll have it up to download soon after that. We’ll cover some gaming news that interests us, introduce ourselves and then we’ll jump right into our first topic, The Games of Cave. If you’re a fan of Bullet Hell SHMUPS, this is the show for you. We’ll be talking about our favorite games from Cave then talk about their newest game set to release on the 360 in Japan, Death Smiles.

I-Con was last weekend and we both had a great time. Many thanks to Sandra for keeping the gaming track running smoothly and actually returning back emails! Also, big thanks to Z and Chad from PBC-Productions, Dave Gilbert from Wadjet Eye Games, Scot Price and Matt Hawkins from Fort90. Thanks for the copy of Sonic Rush Advance!

So if your saw us at a panel or picked up one of our flyers at I-Con, Welcome! We hope you like what we got for you. New videos and comics are on the way!

Well I’m still trying to get over a cold, so if you hear my voice sounds weird on the pod cast, you’ll know why.

Keep it tuned here for the link to our first show! Hope you like it!

CSI Pinball Video and ICON is this weekend.

Pray to God that works, if it did you'll see the link for our newest video all about Stern's new CSI Pinball game. The video came out pretty good, sorry for not using all of "Who Are You" but that MIDI was the best thing I could find. Most video sites are hell bent against using music in videos.

Well, ICON is almost here and I will be there Friday, Saturday with a small chance on Sunday, but 2600 and I will be there for sure on Saturday. We'll be helping out on most of the video game panels this year, so if your going be on the lookout for us and be sure to say hello!

Check back in next week, we're busy cooking up something new that everybody is going to want to check out!

I-CON is next weekend!

Another update, and yet again nothing to show for it. I did speak to 2600 and he said he was working on the new pinball video but he said to "Keep your fingers crossed and hope I don't get a ton of work and I could have it done this weekend" So there you have it.

As I said last week, we will be attending I-Con. I will be there all three days, but 2600 will only make it for Saturday. We will be helping out on most of the video game related panels. Sadly, we didn't get any suggestions in on time so we're on panels they put us on, so hopefully we'll have enough to say to fill the hour slot.

I'm debating on getting a Game Bridge or another type of device to help capture video footage of games so we have more videos. As I said before my computer has AV In but it's for the included TV tuner card that came with the computer. I did get it to show up on my screen, with sound, but it was so delayed from the time I pressed buttons that even if I could record them, it would look terrible.

Considering that many people just watch our interview with James and the random arcade games, I don't know if more video game commentary on Youtube will attract more views or not, but with how long it's been trying to get out a video, anything is better then nothing at all.

Well that's it for me, as always if I get news of the new video I'll put the link up on here for all to see. Be sure to check out I-Con's site for how to get there and what's going on next weekend.

This week's news update.

I just spoke to 2600 on the phone tonight and of course, he’s been nothing but busy with life and work. So trying to get out a new video is taking longer then expected. We do have them in the works like I said last week, but I gave him a quick MIDI file for him to use for the video, because using real copyrighted music, is a no-no.

I’m trying to figure out how to do quick mini game reviews. My computer has an AV In port on the front of the machine and I thought I could simply just plug a console in, play and record in Movie Maker, but there’s something else to it I don’t know about. When I do figure it out, you’ll be seeing videos from me to ease the time between videos.

2600 is going to be trying to do upgrading with new lights for the camera and new software for the videos as well as the comics so we can get them out quicker. Sadly due to his computer crash, getting everything back together is going to take a lot of time, so bare with us.

We’d also like to tell you that we will be once again attending I-Con this year. We don’t have a “10 Games” panel like we had last year, but we will be helping out on some panels. I-Con will be April 3rd to the 5th, so check out their site for more information. We’ll also be there with out good friend Z from PBC-Productions and Matt Hawkins from Fort 90 who does a lot of good gaming articles.

We’re also in the works on helping out on a new blog site coming soon from Video Game Trader Magazine. With our new “Made in Japan” article being so big, we don’t have room for a second opinion. So we’ll have that to go along with the article along with stuff about the print comic as well as some extra arcade gaming stuff we come up with.

So once again, sorry yet again for another text update and no new videos or comics, but work comes first and when we get the time we WILL have stuff for you, so stay tuned.
