Updated Wednesday & Friday Evenings
Yet, more bad news.

The bad news has just been rolling in. First we got word that Tokyo Game Action suffered a massive flood due to the ice storms that has been going on in New England. Andy was away in Japan for all of this, so now he had to cut his trip short and the last thing he told us was the outlook wasn't very good. So we all wish Chie and Andy a speedy recovery as well as everybody else effected by the storms.
The other bit of bad news comes from 2600 who's now up in New Hampshire. He told me that the power went out in his apartment and even though he still has a surge protector, his computer got hit. He told me it was running sluggishly when he first turned it on, then after a while it locked up and now he can't get it to power on at all.
So that means there won't be any new comics or new videos from us till he can either get it fixed, or get a new computer. Thankfully all of the videos we have are still on tape and just need to be re-edited and put together before we upload them.
Other then being made fun of in the interview we did with James, nothing much has been going on. We hit 150 subscribers on YouTube, so thanks much for everybody for checking us out. The videos are coming, just with the computer crash, it will take longer to get them done.
Now to answer the number one question I've been getting, I'll answer it right now. "Will you be going to China Town Fair again?" well of course, the answer is "Yes!". The problem is with 2600 and I split up we can't go to as many places as we would like to, so we're going to try to visit there on the Christmas break.
I know all about the new games they added in, and I have a bag full of tokens ready for Tekken 6, BlazBlue and Street Fighter 4. So be patient, the videos are coming. I will have my digital camera so the lower quality videos will be up sooner, as well as pictures, hopefully it's not too crowded.
I'll have another update up on Friday, so see you all then. Later.

Holy toadstool Batman, a new comic!!! Here is a comic that will most likely send a few of us to hell. Growing up I use to watch Mr. Wizard every morning. I fondly remember the classic "invisible giant" episode where Mr. Wizard crushes a kerosene can on the stove, or the classic super long straw that requires a motor to suck the liquid through...etc. Regardless, if you don't find the joke funny all I can say is "too soon?" We got a new Arcade Hunters episode coming up next week, some more comics, and other shenanigans. Also, the Press Start game is coming along and will hopefully be done by the end of summer 2009.
New comic this weekend!

Hey everybody. 2600 is working on the new comic and it should be ready by this weekend. We're also trying to iron out our travel plans for Christmas vacation. We're planning on going back to Richie Knucklez to get more footage and to talk to the man himself, and hopefully also another trip to 8 on The Break and to Castle Video.
We're also planning on going back up to Tokyo Game Action, so once we find out more, we'll let you know. So keep tuned we'll have more arcade gaming action that you've come to know and love from the fine folks at Press Start.
Other then that, 2600 and I have back in City of Heroes and it's been going pretty good. The newest "Issue" was put up last week and everybody seems to love the new Shields and Pain Domination. If your on the Virtue server, be sure to say hello to us!
Well, I'm off for now. Still got to get ready for Christmas. So till this weekend, have a good one.
New ARCADE HUNTERS!!!

This weeks video is from our investigation of Richie Knucklez. Richie Knucklez runs an arcade showroom that is truly amazing. He has a nice collection with some real gems (Lazer Ghost and Baby Pac-man come to mind). The best part is the detail and work he puts into his restorations. His games look and play amazingly. Also, if that isn't enough, every Friday he dims the lights, puts the machines on free play, and hosts FLASHBACK FRIDAY'S which is 10 bucks, all you can play, from 6-10pm. We will be heading back down to Richie Knucklez around Christmas time to interview him and get some better footage of his amazing shop. Be sure to check out his place at: www.RichieKnucklez.com

Also, the Press Start game is slowly shaping up. I have been putting together a loose script with some ideas, while looking into some engines. I found two great ones and have been tooling around to see which one I would like to use. Basically one is very simply, but would make an old school point and click with still shot images, while the other allows you to make a straight up Sierra or Lucas Arts style game. The big deciding factor will be how long I want to spend on the first game. All I can say now is, if you like the comic, then you will LOVE the humor of the game.
On the video front, we have soo many new ideas for shows that we can't decide what to do next! So, we are going to film a bunch of stuff, post it, and see which gets the most responses and which we enjoyed working on the most! Expect to see these posted in January!
Our first season of Arcade Hunters is coming close to a close. We loved doing it soo much that we already began planning out a shooting schedule for the second season in the end of December. We will be hitting up some great arcades with some rare "treats," as well as some more special events coverage. I already began getting some new equipment to improve the quality of our video's (lights for the darkness). Our final episode to close out the season is a great one that is chock full of humor, video games, and lots of candidness in public places. We also will be doing a video asking the viewers to suggest any arcades they would like to see investigated. If you are reading this and know of any, head on over to the forums and post your suggestions. We don't care where you place it in the forums, so get on it!
Next week will be a new comic so come back and check it out, also starting next week the mid week Wednesday posts will be returning.
Jumping the Gun

I might be jumping the gun here, but we have some big announcements regard some new projects being undertaken at Press Start as well as the next two new updates. First off, we have a new comic slated for next week, followed by an Arcade Hunters episode that is related to the new comic. Now two major announcements which might simply be me jumping the gun. First of the Cap'n and I started working on an adventure game awhile back and we have decided to revive it! Our game ideas is very unique and hopefully we will be able to find some software that is good enough for writing our game. As soon as the game is done we will be offering it for free on our site. The big announcement also involves the Cap'n and I again. I had a major brainstorm about a new show and I mentioned it to the Cap'n and he is on board 100% We began getting together some voice actors for this project and will begin filming our pilot episode right after Christmas. This again will also be offered for watching through our site, or on any major video uploading site (like youtube or blip tv). Finally, The next Video Game Trader Magazine should be coming next month. S as you can see, I and some other members of Press Start are going to be extremely busy with all the new projects we are undergoing. Who knows, maybe we will find time to revive our official PRESS START game we brainstormed a long while back. So have fun and see ya Wednesday!!!
