UPDATE:Arcade Hunters Episode 2: 8 On the Break is up and running! Click Here!!!

I had to cut some stuff out (I found the video footage that was causing the problems with uploading on Revver) and make into one 10 minute video. The FULL video will be up Friday on Youtube. This crap pisses me off, Revver offers better video quality and faster uploads, but tons of error messages that tell you nothing about what is wrong with the video. I am not talking about rejection for copyrighted content, but rather an error message from the site saying it is unable to upload the video. Youtube is great since you can upload just about anything and they are virtually error free, however the quality is so degraded and it takes so long (sometimes a few hours) to upload video's that it is painful. Maybe Blip will be better.... Well, I lied. Turns out 2600 had to go to his brother’s wedding this weekend and since his parent’s computer doesn’t work, he asked me to write up today’s news post.

What 2600 wanted to post about was how we’re going to go by uploading videos and comics. If all goes according to plan we hope to do a week with a new comic and then a new video.

With 2600’s hectic schedule a comic might be late, but we have enough stuff in our backlog of comic ideas to keep us going for a while.

Our newest episode of Arcade Hunters is ready, but of course, Revver is messing up on us. The first of the two part video went through fine, no problems. But 2600 tried TWICE to upload part two and it didn’t work.

Since he won’t be back till Monday, I’m not going to bother posting a link to a video you can only watch half of. I’m wondering if this is why so many people are going over to Blip. I’m going to try to open an account on there to see how they are with uploading videos.

If you guys enjoyed the last Arcade Hunters, I just wanted to let you know Andy finally got his Street Fighter IV machines and their ready to go over at Tokyo Game Action. The deal is 20 bucks gets you into the fighting game room and all games are on free play and if you want to play the racing and music games, it’s just another six bucks.

Next weekend is their big SFIV party, and I’m trying my best to see if I can make it there with the Captain. Even if I don’t go 2600 should be able to make it and he’ll cover it with his camera, even though I might not be there.

See ya next week.

New stuff and The Conami Kode is back!

Nick - writer - posted on Wednesday, 09/17/08 19:40:28 EDT

I wanted to start off first by welcoming back our friends over from The Conami Kode. Their show we'll be on yet again tomorrow night from 6-8. Check out our forums on how to listen to the show!

2600's in the process of adding the next episode of Arcade Hunters onto Revver tonight, so I won't be posting any links for it, but if you want to see them before Friday, go on over to the Revver site and check it out.

2600 also has some news regarding videos and comics and he'll have that up on Friday. He's still working on the print comics for Video Game Trader as well as some new comics for the site as well.

Tonight, before Ghost Hunters, I'm working on putting the last three of the PAPA videos up on YouTube. The new videos are doing really well on there, I just hope some of the folks come here and check out the rest of the stuff we have to offer. Mostly we just get comments regarding my interviewing skills and people that think we hate House of the Dead.

See you on Friday with a new episode of Arcade Hunters and news regarding the site. Later!

SNEAK PEEK!!!!

Wow, a new comic...sorta. Here is a sneak peek of the new print comic I've been working on. The comic is going to appear in Video Game Trader Magazine, an awesome bi-monthly gaming magazine that is loaded with retro gaming goodness such as interviews, game histories, articles, and even a great price guide. I subscribed to the magazine back in May and have been loving it since. So for the new comic, I tried something different. I experimented with turning it into a slide show to create an advertisement for the new print comic. This comic is only a part of the first one. The comic is going to be an ongoing storyline with bob, Greg, and Rico. The twist is it is going to deal more with their lives as gamers. Relationships, girlfriends, breaking up, alcohol, these are just some of the themes in the current storyline, as well as Greg in Daisy Duke shorts, Bob in AA...again, and Rico...he apparently has grown a pair and is the new A$$hole. So check out the preview and of course, I am gonna plug Tokyo Game Action some more!!! Don't forget their Street Fighter 4 release party next weekend!!!

Tokyo Game Action!

Castle Crashers, are 2-D Games Dead?!?

2600 - writer/artist - posted on Thursday, 09/11/08 18:22:47 EDT

Hey everyone, just want to let everyone know the next episode of Arcade Hunters is on schedule and should premiere next Wednesday!!! Also keep an eye out for a new comic on Friday. Nothing much else new except that Castle Crashers is really amazing and everyone needs to go download it for the 360. The game plays like both an original and an homage beat'em up. The game really reminds me of a mix between Guardian Heroes and Konami Beat-em ups (Especially the one fortress which has quite a few nods to the infamous Technodrome stages in Konami's Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles beat'em ups). Definitely check out the game and chill in all its glory. Besides, I thought beat'em ups was a dead gaming genre? I thought no one wants to see 2-D games? Well, why has Castle Crashers been downloaded sooo many times? Why have sooo many people been clamoring to play online, only to crash and glitch up the server? I guess this games success is a big F*CK YOU to all who believe a game needs EXTREME 3-D GRAFIX!!!! Enough bantering, here are the Tokyo Game Action links again, so that no one misses this amazing place. Also go to TGA's site and check out their release party weekend for Street Fighter 4, looks like it is going to be an amazing time and I will be there with camera in hand to get some footage.

ARCADE HUNTRS!!!!!

Yes, Nick and I's long overdo internet show is finally premiering. The show is "Arcade Hunters," a sort of spin-off/knock off of "Ghost Hunters." Nick and I happen to be huge "Ghost Hunters" fans and the idea sort of clicked in my head. We finished all the filming for our first season, and I am in the process of editing all the footage. We should have a new episode every two weeks. The first episode we have for ya is a very special one. Nick and I had the honor of visiting Tokyo Game Action, one of the best arcades I have visited. It is literally a Japanese Arcade (with a bowling alley) in the States. I use to live in Tokyo so I know exactly what I am talking about. Words do not begin to describe the arcade so check out the first episode of Arcade Hunters below!!!
